Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer - Chief Executive Officer


Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, born on 14.05.1962 in Stuttgart, studied business engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and received his doctorate in 1992 from Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer, Director of the Institute for Business Information Technology at the University of Saarland. In 1993 Dr. Kraemer was awarded the dissertation research prize for technical and economic communication research by the SEL Foundation. From 1992 to 1994 he managed the "Consulting Cost Management and Product Development Controlling Centre" at IDS Scheer. From 1994 to 1995 he was responsible for product development and SAP consultancy at a software and consulting company.

Subsequently, he returned to the Institute for Business Information Technology in order to pursue an academic university career. During this period he engaged in designing and realising virtual universities in cooperation with the Bertelsmann Foundation/Heinz Nixdorf Foundation and other project partners. At the beginning of 1997, imc information multimedia communication was founded by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer and his assistant professors Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, Frank Milius and Dr. Volker Zimmermann.

As Chief Executive Officer of IMC AG he is responsible for the professional services, sales and marketing, financial management and corporate communication of IMC AG.

His main interests are learning process management, corporate universities and the development of higher education institutions through new media. He is author and co-editor of several books and has written more than 100 articles for magazines.
