Open Content/OER

The EU co-funded eContentplus Best Bractice Network ICOPER („Interoperable Content for Performance in a Competency-driven Society“) challenges the current lack of widely accepted standards and their adoption in higher education institutions and continuing education centres.

The overall ICOPER objective is to overcome the obstacle of widely accepted standards in order to facilitate an effective and European-wide implementation of learning technologies as well as the delivery of competency-driven Open Educational Resources (“OER”). More concrete, the consortium of 23 key players in Europe will provide access to a critical mass of more than 12,500 hours of integrated OER. The technical ICOPER objective is the integration of OER with instructional models considering IMS-LD.

IMC is occupied with the definition and elaboration of innovative learning delivery scenarios that are geared to instructors and learners and aim to obtain European-wide acceptance and use.
